On this page, maps with the progress toward engaging unreached peoples
and with unengaged unreached people groups.
apart from the fact that they have mainly followed in the footsteps of christendom before them what virgin territories have they ever gone to that christendom before them has not gone to .
i would think none.. how many lands ,countrys ,are their that they have never made any significant inroads into ?.
we are not talking about token service in any of these countrys in major cities , but a real door to door witness to every individual householder that gets it every few months as in western lands.. some that i can think of : north korea ,mainland china , bangladesh ,india , pakistan , jordan , israel , iran , syria ,burma ( sorry cant think of the new name ).

''However even with this list it shows beyond reasonable doubt JW`s have not preached in all the inhabited earth .NO WAY,''
Very true, and I must say nice thread.
I don't know about the witnesses, but I very much like this site: www.imb.org
IMB stands for the International Mission Boards.
This site gives all kind of statistics related to how far the gospel has spread in the world.
Sadly though, not the right gospel of course since they do not preach about 1914 and do not teach obedience to the Governing Body and so on.
Some statistics that I find interesting:
7,2 billion people on the earth
42% of the world are reached ones (people with access to the gospel). This is 3 billion.
Of this 3 billion, 2,3 billion are Christians.
700 million has access to the gospel but does not accept the gospel, because of other beliefs etc.
58% (4.2 billion people) is classified as unreached. This means very littlo to no access to the gospel (maybe to a watchtower though)
These people are 6792 ethnic groups. These groups have few to no churches, a very small part of the gospel in their own language, or no part at all, a lot of persecution etc. Think of the Muslim world.
The number of each of these ethnic groups vary a lot. Some groups are only a few hundred people, whereas others are a few million. To gain access to the gospel, they will need help from outside the community.
https://www.imb.org/people-and-places/
For instance Sub-Saharan Africa
https://www.imb.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/SSAP_FastFacts.pdf
''SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA HAS A GROWING CHRISTIAN POPULATION, BUT IT’S STILL HOME TO NEARLY 1,600 UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS IN SPRAWLING CITIES, BARREN DESERTS, RAIN FORESTS''
Or Central Asia:
https://www.imb.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/CA_FastFacts.pdf
''98,7% OF CENTRAL ASIAN PEOPLE GROUPS ARE UNREACHED''
''ALL THE PERSIAN AND TURKIC PEOPLE GROUPS WHO CALL CENTRAL ASIA HOME ARE UNREACHED. MOST CENTRAL ASIANS HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY AND ARE UNAWARE THAT THE GOSPEL IS GOOD NEWS.''
Hope this information is helpful.
Of course, the power of the Governing Body is so much stronger than Christendom, cos only they have the power of the holy spirit. But if we take these statistics into account, it seems fair to say that a great majority of the world has not been reached.
this is the whole of the instructions that the watchtower gave jws when writing to russian officials -.
content • you are writing to the official to request his intervention.
express the hope that the russian authorities will stop the legal action being taken against the branch office and the congregations in russia so that our brothers and sisters can continue to gather peacefully for christian meetings without interference.
Richard Oliver - "Was Paul not remaining neutral when he used the legal system of the Roman's not just to appeal his case but to appeal it to Ceasar. It is asking a government to abide by their own laws of freedom of religion and by the treaties that they are signatories to that require them to also provide freedom of religion. They are not running anyone for office to try and get it over thrown or any other political means. Using the court system is not a political act."
Paul was a Roman citizen and used his rights as such, to stand his case. In the case that we see now with JW's and Russia, it's definitely not comparable to what Paul did. A non-Russian person writing to the Russian government to tell them what to do, is not justifiable using Paul's example. They are not in the same legal position.
Moreover, asking the government to abide by their own laws, also means that they should abide by their anti-extremist laws. According to Russia law, JW are extremist. Taking a stand against it, is not asking the Russian government to listen to their own laws, but to change them. It's definitely political.
If not, why are JW's not protesting against abortion laws and all such laws?

Wow, JW propaganda that attacks ... other propaganda ... Such irony
in the congregation that i used to go to, there were a lot of disfellowshipped ones that were once part of the cong.
also, a lot of witnesses here have family members that are disfellowshipped.
one family has a daughter that the family has been shunning for decades now.
How many cases of disfellowshipping shunning do you know about?
How many families in the congregation in your area have family members that they are shunning?
What is the craziest and most unfair case of disfellowshipping shunning that you know about?

Good point! I think I have to change my words.
I mean the ones being shunned, not necessarily only the ones that are disfellowshipped, because that is indeed hard to know.
Thanks for the comment.

There are relatively many of people being shunned here,
The one that disturbs me the most is the case of a boy from below the age of 18, who was no longer allowed to live at home. He had to leave from his parents after being disfellowshipped. At such a young age...
For this congregation, of around 110 members, I know of around 10 to 15 people that are disfellowshipped.
I have to note that I do not know all the 110 members in the congregation, so I am not aware of the complete number.

I am very interested in the answers.
Thanks for your responses.
apart, of course, from the obvious example of believing the evidence-free assertion of the governing body to be god's representatives on earth.
not to side-step that issue, but i wonder if it might be interesting to relate that huge mistake to other things i've been wrong about and how they compare and contrast with the big one.
a couple of examples of things i was wrong about:.
In South Africe there is a myth called The Empty Land Myth
http://www.sahistory.org.za/article/empty-land-myth
I don't believe this myth. I believe it is actually true.
When European settlers first came in South Africa there were only nomadic black people. The first encounter with real black settlements was in the far east of South Africa, over 100 years later than the first settlement of the whites in the west-Cape.
there were wars with the Khoikhoi and the San but these black people were relatively few and they were the only ones in the whole western area of South Africa, and they had not founded real settlements/villages/towns etc.
people call it a myth but I still believe that the land was empty when Europeans first arrived. The only real evidence of inhabitants is the nomadic khoikhoi and san people. Nothing more.
So at this point I do still not accept the myth
good evening,.
i am in search of recent articles in the watchtower, or in other articles that are available on jw.org, that explain that one has to be part of the organisation as a condition for salvation.. i can only find articles on sites other than jw.org that are from before the year 2000. .
it is for discussions with a jw, so i can only use things from jw.org.. thanks in advance.
Thanks everybody for the responses.
it's really helpful.
